Marsh dwarf crayfish (Cambarellus puer), belongs to the Cambaridae family. It lives throughout North America in what is now the United States and southern Canada. Outwardly, it resembles an ordinary European crayfish, only much smaller. Adults reach only 3 cm.

The diet consists of the remains of a meal of aquarium fish and various organic matter. Separate feeding is not required; in a healthy aquarium, food is enough for a small colony. In order to avoid damage to plants, and Marsh crayfish can eat them, once a week you can serve a couple of pieces of vegetables or fruits such as carrots, cucumber, lettuce, spinach, apples, pears, etc. Pieces should be renewed every week to prevent their decomposition and water pollution.
